The Day The Cosmos (Almost) Stood Still - Silver Ties Cup Finalists

Amid unending cries of "River", the Silver held off a second half onslaught by the Delaware River Soccer Club Cosmos and tied the eventual Dominion Cup finalists. Kyle Griffin scored when his shot deflected off of a River player for our only goal at the fifteen minute mark in the first half. We kept the lead until the last five minutes of the game when the Cosmos scored off of a corner kick. That was the first goal scored on us in 135 minutes of action.

Silver 1 0 1
Cosmos 0 1 1

Silver Cosmos
Shots 12 (10, 2) 18 (6, 12)
Saves 10 (4, 6) 8 (6, 2)
Corner Kicks 3 (3, 0) 4 (1, 3)
Fouls 7 (1, 6) 7 (3, 4)
Offsides 0 (0, 0) 4 (2, 2)

Kyle Griffin actually scored. It deflected off of a River player from Kyle's shot.
